That’s how I’ve felt for the past couple of days, hence the delay in getting any kind of Barbarina-recap up! I’m home today with swollen tonsils, as my body has finally said “enough!!” after a very busy and stressful few weeks. The white spots that were there yesterday are gone, though, thanks to a heavy dosing of yin qiao, the Chinese medicine that is beloved of singers for this very reason. It tastes like dirt but it really seems to kill those nasty bugs. I expect to be back up and running tomorrow.
I’ll get a recap of Saturday up this afternoon or evening, depending on my nap schedule… Thanks for all your good wishes and congratulations!

Take care of yourself! Sleep well.
I guess it is the week to get sick! I am feeling your pain.
These are the most stressful weeks of the year - take care of yourself! (Have a cupcake?)
Hope you feel better soon! I'm sick right now too! Sometimes, your body really needs a break and it will take one for you if you don't! Eat some chicken soup from Lenny's(100 & Broad,) that oughta do it! :)
ACB!! So, wow - I just caught up a bit on your blog - DAMN, girl! Congrats on all the wonderful news (SULLIVAN AWARD -- WOO HOO!), and the Barbarina's, and what seems to be overcoming a nasty bug. One step at a time, my friend!
I'm more than happy to respond to your ? about cameras: here's what I posted:
"ACB!! I second your "yea!" And to settle your lust (at least for the camera ;-), it is a Canon Rebel XTI WHICH I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I primarily am using 2 lenses (they carry a big enough learning curve on their own, so any branching out of lenses will come over time): a 50 mm fixed portrait lens (which is a very modest investment of about $80?), and a long zoom: 70-300 mm, with image stabalization. That will set you back a bit more, but it was a great investment for me - that's where I get a lot of my zoom shots, and in low lighting. One of the most joy-inducing things I've ever bought!! DO IT, make the plunge, and share your pics soon!!!"
You take great care of yourself, and enjoy the ride!!
CHEERS!
