How about "Sleep" by Ivor Gurney? Beautiful English art song of the early 20th century. Heart-breaking and amazing. Do you know it?
"when it's sleepy time down south" is an oldie and goodie ... "a sleepin' bee" is lovely, by harold arlen, and i've just discovered, w/lyrics by truman capote! wonder what the back story is on that one ...
If you haven't already heard "Sleep to Dream" by Fiona Apple... you need to. It's a great song!
