Rhode Island Is Famous For You is SUCH a great states song! including the immortal line "tents in Tentessee" ... well you sorta have to be there

How about, randomly generated from my brain which is a useless rolodex (remember those?) of lyrics ... Anchorage, Alaska (Michelle Shocked); Sweet Home Alabama (you know who); OKLAHOMA! (which of course you spell out as you sing it :); and, kinda cheating 'cause it's not really about the state but anyway, the great big band classic "Pennsylvania 6-5000"
